Celebrating business for the 70th anniversary of Basildon New Town

As part of Basildon New Town's 70th Anniversary, Basildon Council and Eastgate Shopping Centre are celebrating 70 years with 70 Basildon Heroes.

How can businesses get involved?

Our Heroes can be individuals, businesses or companies who:

• have made a significant positive contribution or have been instrumental to the development of Basildon over the last 70 years
• are businesses or staff-members who have made a positive contribution to the development of Basildon and continue to do so
• are educational institutions or students who have had a positive impact on the future generations of Basildon residents and/or the development of Basildon and continue to do so.

You can submit your Basildon Hero Nomination by any of the following methods:

• By post to: Basildon at 70, Basildon Council, The Basildon Centre, St Martins Square, Basildon, Essex, United Kingdom, SS14 1DL

Your submission should explain how they meet one or more of the above criteria in no more than 500 words.

Nominations are open from February - September 2019.

Our 70 Heroes will be selected by a judging panel so please include as much information as possible. Heroes will be announced throughout the year and will be featured in an exhibition in the Eastgate Shopping Centre.

Heroes will be honoured at a celebratory reception at the end of the year where they'll receive a special thank you from the Mayor of Basildon.
