The Creative Tech Festival is a collaborative project led by Basildon Borough Council in partnership with local businesses, creative tech specialists and educators. The festival will showcase the synergy between creativity and technology through a range of events including workshops, talks and experiences that aim to:
· Inspire audiences with the possibilities and opportunities of creative tech: Attendees will experience the latest creative tech innovations reshaping how we work and think and be inspired by remarkable local stories of those who've paved their way in creative tech roles
· Enable audiences to grow in confidence and build on existing skills and interests: Through play and interaction, audiences will better understand how everyday technology is empowering them with skills they may not be aware of. Audiences will explore how creativity can be harnessed to make impressive innovations and find out about local opportunities that can support skills development
· Develop and evolve a future focused Basildon: Events that lead to action. We will launch initiatives and invite audiences to connect and collaborate to co-create the future of Basildon’s Creative Tech Festival.
The Festival is funded by UK Shared Prosperity Funding (UKSPF) and we have funds allocated to deliver the Festival in February 2024 and February 2025. This year’s Festival runs from 8th – 23rd February 2024, the festival will incorporate National Apprenticeship week and the Half Term break, enabling young people and their families to take advantage of this specially curated programme.
