A new Basildon retail park with Lidl, Greggs and other firms is taking shape with construction progressing quickly. The St Hilary Retail Park is being build off Miles Gray Road and when completed will have a Lidl, Greggs, Tile Mountain and other firms. The multi million pound Lidl is set to create 40 jobs for the town. Tile Mountain is also under construction and will open next spring. Bosses at Greggs say the new store will open next year. Other businesses confirmed to be opening include self-storage business Lok’nStore And there will be 157 parking spaces at the site.
It will sit opposite the existing Pipps Hill Retail Park, which features supermarket giants Asda, and stores such as B&Q, Argos, and Burger King. In September Canadian fast food chain Tim Hortons had plans granted for a new restaurant and drive thru to be located in the former Burger Brats and Outback Steakhouse unit.
